Berpuasa ketika mengandung
First of all, saya minta maaf kalau ada yg terasa dengan entry saya nih berkenaan dengan isu berpuasa ketika mengandung. Saya bukanlah doktor dan alim ulama tapi just sharing from what I have read and I know.
Saya perhatikan ramai di kalangan kita yang berpuasa ketika mengandung. Even terjadi pada ahli keluarga dan sedara mara sendiri. Bila ditanya puasa tak? Mereka jawab berpuasa even ada yg puasa hampir-hampir penuh. Mungkin ada tinggal beberapa hari. Mereka menceritakan penyesalannye tetinggal beberapa hari itu.
It is important for pregnant women know 3 tahap iaitu 1st trimester, 2nd trimester and 3 trimester. Mesti tahu what happen in your worm during that time. Apa kah nutrition yang kandungan kita perlukan pada ketiga-tiga tahap tu.
Melalui pembacaan saya, banyak Muslim Scholar/ Doctors advice not to fast during first and final stage of pregnancy. Rasanya kita boleh kaitkan dengan nutrient yang diperlukan oleh kandungan kita pada trimester tersebut.
First Trimester
(1)The cellular structure of your baby's body, blood, bones, brain and other organs are being formed in the first twelve weeks of pregnancy. Your baby's brain development begins three weeks after you conceive and will continue throughout its lifetime.
(2) Continual flow of good nutrition throughout pregnancy will help each organ and system grow strong.
(3) Your placenta also depends on good nutrition to develop normally. Keep in mind that your placenta continues to grow until about the 36th week of your pregnancy"
(4) Growing baby is depending on a healthy placenta to transfer nutrients and oxygen to it.
Here's How It Works: When the concentration of nutrients is higher in your (the mother's) blood than in your baby's blood, nutrients from your last meal pass through the placenta directly into your baby's bloodstream.
(5)Inadequate nutrition in the first trimester, or any time in pregnancy, may interfere with the placenta developing normally. If the placenta is not big and healthy, no matter how much you eat later, your baby may not receive optimal nourishment. Also, a placenta that is not healthy can lead to complications in labor.
Third Trimester
(1) Pemakanan yang baik ketika trimester ke 3 sangat penting untuk ibu dan anak dalam kandungan. Why penting? Sebab nak bagi tenaga yang baik untuk ibu saat melahirkan anak, memperbanyakan susu ibu, dan menghindar gejala seperti anemia, gastrik, penat dan sebagainya. Yang paling penting, membekalkan iron dan kalsium dalam tubuh anak selepas beberapa bulan anak itu lahir. That make sense kan?
(2) Nutrient paling penting masa 3rd trimester adalah iron. Saya dengar ramai tak suka amik pil iron sebab busuk. Kesudahannye dibiarkan gitu. Remember! Think about your baby first then your taste! (ni ayat suami saya). Jom tengok why iron penting?
So kita tahu masa nih, kandungan darah semakin banyak. Kalau visit klinik kesihatan nurse amik darah dan cek kandungan hemoglobin dalam darah. Kalau darah pekat maksudnye sihat, oksigen dalam darah baik
Research shows: pregnant women with low iron are more likely to deliver prematurely and have low birth weight infants.
(3) Protein.
Ketika masuk je 3rd trimester, baby kita dah cukup sifat, dan pada ketika ini baby perlukan nutrient baik untuk membesar kan. Perasan tak kalau tak silap saya nurse/doctor bagitau kena naik 500gram setiap minggu.
Protein provides the amino acids needed for adequate bone and muscle development. Eating enough protein is essential for healthy development of new cells in the placenta and maternal tissues and encourages healthy blood production.
Kenapa protein penting? Dan kenapa penting ketika 3rd trimester?
In the molecular level, your baby's brain, heart, skin, hair and fingernails are all composed of proteins, and every cellular function is accomplished with the aid of proteins. For example, proteins help digest food, fight infection and carry nutrients throughout the body. The third trimester of pregnancy is a time of rapid growth and brain development, so the protein requirement for the baby via the mother is increased to enable this development.

Make the expectant mother feel weak or light-headed and make it difficult to manage day-to-day tasks without feeling tired or fatigued
Untuk anak
The effects of a lack of protein in the diet include poor muscle and joint development, poor bone development, muscle or bone deformities, miscarriage, brain damage and a high risk of birth defects.
Ada juga sumber protein yang perlu di elakan ketika mengandung contohnye :
Unpasteurized cheese; raw fish; shark, swordfish and other types of fish with high levels of mercury; unpasteurized milk; and processed meat such as deli-style meat. While these foods are high in protein, they are also prone to developing bacteria, which can lead to several food-borne illnesses. They are best avoided throughout pregnancy and during recovery.
(4) DHA
Ape bende DHA tu. DHA tu docosahexaenoic acid), sejenis omega-3 fatty acid. Saya pun baru tahu masa buat entry nih. DHA tu boleh dapat dari fish oil. Masa pregnant dulu, memang Doktor saya suh makan fish oil, pernah masa hampir nak melahikan baby, dia suh increase fish oil intake.
Kenapa DHA penting?
DHA is vital in normal brain and eye development and functioning in fetuses. It can also lower the risk of premature birth and increase the birth weight.
Masa doktor saya suh double the intake of fish oil, dia cakap baby saya kecil, so ambil fish oil boleh tingkatkan berat baby.
As far as I know, klinik kerajaan tak provide fish oil, so suggestion for ibu mengandung untuk dapatkan fish oil dari klinik swasta.
Ada macam-macam lagi nutrient penting yang sangat diperlukan untuk baby ketika kita mengandung.

setahu sy tak ape kalo ibu mengandung tak puasa...ikut kemampuan..kalo risaukan baby or risaukan diri sendiri kann :P
